Golden Syrup и искусственный мёд - одно и то же???

Есть у меня рецепт тортика, но там дается на искусственный мед, который мне покупала мама давным - давно...

Вдруг пришло в голову , а не Golden Syrup ли это (у меня он без дела на полке засыхает! )???

Просвятите, плиз, хочется немного помучиться, приготовить его...
