Местные
испано-язычники дело конечно хорошее, но я бы не ориентировалась на них при изучении грамматики. В большинстве своем они не очень образованные. Если есть возможность общатся с кем-то у кого есть хорошее образование - то это конечно удача.
Тут я вот решила напечатать -
ser is used in the following cases:
1) to indicate origin, profession, family relationship, religion or political affiliation
Es argentino.
Es de Buenos Aires.
Es ingeniero.
Es mi primo.
Es catolico.
2) to talk about the material something is made of and about who the author is
Es de madera. ( It is make of wood)
Este cuadro es de Frida Kahlo. ( This painting is by Frida Kahlo)
3) to talk about possession ( принадлежность).
Es mio. ( It is mine)
Es de mi hermana. ( it is my sister's)
4) to identify somthing or somebody
Este es mi novio. ( This is my boyfriend).
5) to tell the time
Son las cuatro y media.(It is half past four)
6) to express how much something costs
? Cuanto es? ( How much is it?)
Son mil pesos. ( It is one thousand pesos)

estar is used in the following cases:
1) to indicate location, the place where something is
? Donde estan las llaves? ( Where are the keys?)
Cali esta en Colombia. ( Cali is in Colombia)
2) To express the condition that is the result of a change
Esta morena. ( She is tanned)
3) to express a temporary state, which might change
Esta enferma.( She is ill.)
Esta asustada. ( She is frightened)
4) to express a subjective empression
El pollo esta muy rico.( The chicken tastes very good)
5) used with the adverbs BIEN and MAL
-?Como esta tu madre?
- Esta muy bien.
( How is your mother? She is fine.)
6) to talk about temporary occupations
Pablo esta camarero en un restaurante.( Pablo is working as a waiter in a restaurant). The emphasis here is that it is a temporary job, or that it is not his real porfession.
Compare with: Pablo es camarero.( Pablo is a waiter)
7) to form the Present and Past Contunous tenses.
Esta hanlando por telefono.( She is talking on the phone)
with many adjectives, both SER and ESTAR are possible, but the meaning is slightly different
