Mark Twain about Kentucky

Post by Dweller »

Is that correct that Mark Twain once said that "If there ever is to be an end of the world, I would rather be in Kentucky because everything comes here twenty years later." ?

If so, please help me find the source.
Thanks!!!

"The following is a list of quotes that are often attributed to Mark Twain but were either written by someone else or can not be found in any his works:
....
When the end of the world comes, I want to be in Cincinnati because it's always twenty years behind the times...."
