MSFT is not so obvious short like IBM, still I have doubt it deserves the level it climbed to.

Closed my fly for 53 cents profit. Fine.

No earnings underlyings look good enough to trade now.. Not sure what I will do yet.

Closed copper partially, still in the trade, copper is still overextended.. Still short oil, sold some puts to reduce delta for now.

And let me say this for the record - today volume in corn is higher than volume in Nasdaq.. Volume in Nad is less than 190K.... Kinda same goes for S&P where volume is lower than in WTI. Just 671K for S&P. Yep, we got tp new highs 9th day in the row!

sold double ratio in weeklies EBAY 35/36/39/40 for 31 cent. Did not see good trade in MSFT or V, although may look again..

Bot back one trench of oil (who in a world would think oil will go up - other than Cramer of course...), still short

Scalped puts in euro, sold more puts in nasdaq on the dip, sold more euro... Still short Nasdaq, S&P, and Euro

I have to say that it is extremely frustrating to be consistently wrong. I am very disciplined when it comes to trading but it is super hard to stay short in this environment.

The run-up in tech stocks has fueled the overall market to all-time highs this year. And while many investors may be cheering, short sellers have lost a fortune.

The so-called “FANG” stocks—Facebook (FB), Amazon (AMZN), Netflix (NFLX) and Alphabet (GOOGL)—have burned short investors, according to data from financial analytics firm S3. Year-to-date, Facebook short-sellers have lost $948 million, Amazon short-sellers have lost $1.5 billion, Netflix short-sellers have lost $1.6 billion, and Alphabet short-sellers have lost $1.1 billion.

Microsoft (MSFT) and Apple (AAPL), two tech stocks that Goldman Sachs included in their “FAAMG” acronym, have lost $500 million and $1.5 billion for short-sellers this year, respectively.

Combined, the “FANG”/”FAAMG” names have cost short-sellers $7.1 billion just this year.

Other high-fliers like Nvidia (NVDA) and Tesla (TSLA) have also added pain to those betting against their stocks. Nvidia short-sellers have lost $1.5 billion this year. The Tesla shorts have lost a whopping $3.9 billion.

I found my happy place in terms of max risk and desired probability of profit. Most of the stuff I do is selling naked premium. If I start defining my risk, my average P/L and win rate drops by 20-30%. I also track average daily P/L and I find it very difficult to keep my numbers where I want them to be with defined risk trades.

Other people have different portfolio metrics that work best for them. And this is something I like the most in options.

Зависит от критерия, по которому определяется "афигительность". Для меня именно прибыль есть такой критерий

Странные слова: по какой книжке можно заработать? И офигительно трейдаешь: это когда куча денег, разве нет.. Вообще, я читал эту ветку с интересном, хотя и считаю, это чистым гэмблингом, но вроде вы были сторонником подхода:

1. толпа всегда проигрывает.Сейчас как раз массовая истерия по поводу пузырей, которые везде. Зачем идти с толпой и ставить на сдувание пузыря?
2. нет направленным трейдам. Зачем тогда шортить насдак с Трамп-ралли? А если он еще сдуру на 20% вырастет? А потом просто будет болтаться в рэнже?
