Earnings trade: Sold AAPL 101/93 strangle with 4 days to go for $1.07

Entered the trade a little early .... taking advantage of the selloff

101 calls came in nicely today. Rolled them down to 100 strike for 21 cent credit. Now, total collected 1.29 per contract.

Rolled up 93 put to 103 strike for 47 cents credit. Total collected 1.76

Rolled 103 Puts and 100 Calls to next week for 90 cent credit. Total collected $2.66.
Dream is still alive

103/100 inverted strangle still has $1.66 of premium left. If AAPL end up between 100 and 103 next week, I'll end up with 40 cent loss per contract. Will have to roll it again to make some money on this trade.

Closed 103 puts @ 91 cents. Will roll calls later today

Sold AAPL 100 puts for 1.50.

Конечно, наиболее эффективный трейд был бы если открыть перед квартальным репортом. Но я мог бы открыть кредит или диагональный спред или condor и после него. Всегда предпочту номинально дорогой популярный сток любому дорогому индексу.

The entire world is long GOOG and AMZN. This is a good reason to take the other side of the trade. Why not?

Same with S&P. I just cannot to get any shorter at this point. The odds are in favor of shorting it. Low volatility + price extreme...... perfect setup to get short.

I am short 1 /ES per every $10,000 I have. Plus, have decent sized short positions in IWM, QQQ, AMZN, GOOG, AAPL, GDX, EWZ. Long USO though
