За и против о Dynamic DNS servers?

Хочу воспользоваться услугой dynamic DNS server, чтобы не платить за static IP address. Нужен совет, насколько это удобно и надежно.

конечно удобно. Сам пользуюсь dyndns.org. Надо только держать маленького демончика (они его там на dyndns клиентом называют), который отслеживает изменение адреса и обновляет его на сервере. Вариантов таких демонов тьма.

Я пользую www.no-ip.com, держу дома фтп для друзей.
Всем очень доволен...

Единственное неудобство таких сервисов в том что они могут просто
на всех обидется и перестать предоставлять сервис в один прекрасный
день, не предупредив никого заранее. Как пример - dnsart.com:

*we do not host content*. This dynamic DNS service merely
assigns a hostname to point to an IP address located
somewhere else. Yet people insist on attacking our server
because of the actions of those people who abuse our free
service by registering hostnames for malicious or illegal
reasons.

We provide a lot of support to free accounts, they
tax the system resources heavily, and have a lot of usage.

Therefore the management of DNSArt has come to a decision
today while we wait out this new DDoS attack.

All free accounts on DNSArt are being immediately disabled.
The system will also no longer accept any free account
registrations.

We will keep the system running to service all the people
who support our system with their advanced account
registrations. New advanced account registrations will
continue to be accepted.

If you had a free account and would like to continue using
the hostname you created, you will need to subscribe to an
advanced account.
