anybody can own a C corp shares... and taxes aren't that bad. Just pay yourself a salary instead of a dividend. Also you can buy a lot of things for the firm and use them yoursef... car etc... Also, if it is a real business with big future it is easier to get financing if you have a C corp. Many VC won't give you money before you transfer your company into C corp.

I've started an LLC last year in PA. (I'm a permanent resident). However, I don't remember seeing anything about your status in the paperwork that I had to fill out.
As far as I remember, all they want is your SS# and your address. This is on a state-level.
On the federal level, if you wish to apply for an EIN (employer's identification number), there is nothing on the current status either.
I would call your accountant and inquire about that, just to doble check. But the way I read it: If there are no questions on any of the forms about your current status - you can do it then, but that's only my opinion.
As far as the advantage of having an EIN, your SS# will not be shown anywhere, as you only have to show your EIN # on all of the forms.
As for your profit, you can have "retained earnings" in your corp by the end of the year - meaning you are not taking anything out of the company and reinvesting everything back in the business.
