Хороший 36" Телевизор с плоским экраном

С 800 серией не совсем понятно - туда запихнули и традитзионные кинескопы (KV40XBR800KIT) и LCD projection Grand Wega (KF-60XBR800).

Я лучше съем свою шляпу, чем за простой телевизор такие деньги отдам. Плазму надо покупать, господа. Сейчас хороший Panasonic всего за $3500 продают. И не буду я объяснять чем плазма лучше тому кто ни разу ее не видел

Yeah, but a $3000 plasma will invariably be a low-res model (852 X 480), a hi-res model (1024 X 768 or 1280 x 768) is easily twice the price. Plus plasmas have burn-in issues, which is important if you watch TV, most of which is still in 4:3 aspect ratio.

Myself, I prefer LCD projection TVs (Sony Grand Wega and the like) - cost about $3000-4000, have resolution equal to the best plasma screens out there and do not have burn-in issues. The downside is greyish blacks, but it doesn't bother me very much, the crisp, clear picture that you get with a LCD projection TV is more than enough to compensate for the shortcomings of that particular technology.

Плазмeнный Панасоник недавно купил мой приятель. Черный цвет - как уголь. Цвета - рехнуться можно. Моей Веге с кинескопом рядом ловить нечего.

Но вот толко стоил он не 3.5 а 9 штук. По сравнению с етим моя Вега купленная 4 года назад за $2,200 - bargain.

I think LCD TVs will eventually replace plasmas - Samsung already offers a 40 inch LCD TV, the prices on LCD PC displays are dropping daily. Once a LCD TV will become cheaper than an equivalent-sized plasma, plasma TVs will die a quick death.

Горазде технологичней (дешевле) при не худшем качестве.

The HID lamp only lasts for 3000 hours and replacements cost $300 -> I would rather buy EDTV plasma for the same price.

DLP вещь отличная - я правда про нее забыл. Пока немного дороговато, но все равно намного дешевле чем аналогичная по размерам плазма.

Да, но у плазма телевизора всегда есть риск burn-in. Если играешь в Playstation 2 или там Xbox какой-нибудь - прощай экран.

А на сколько критично это сейчас? ДВД все равно выдает эти 480 строк, ХДТВ источников сигнала еще не так уж и много, да и самих записей еще меньше. Так чтоили брать 1024*1024 за 6-10К, когда вполне примлемого качества Daewoo 42" правда 852 X 480 стоит сейчас в Бест Бае за 3200? Прогресс оно хорошо, но ждить всю жизнь... Как то это не по мне.

New plasma panels are burn-in free. There's circuit which periodically shift picture by a pixel to prevent burn-in.
DLP projector is nice, but to mount in on the ceiling some major remodel is needed, which may be unacceptable for many people. LCD projection is bulky comparing to plasma, cost the same, and has 3000 hours life limit for its lamp (MTBF for plasma is 30000-50000 hours)
