А в выписку из счета Лизы Келли с 10-й страницы, там где с неё взяли "and up to $120 for saline pouches that cost less than $2 retail" тоже не верите?
nope... журналажа
i.v. set up - $120 - верю, but it includes RN slalary, that sets it up and cheks on it, chemo unit front desk lady salary, price of a system, amortization of an IV dosing machine, usage of tape, labels, gloves, recordkeeping, sheets that were used on her chair etc etc.
$120 for 1L of 0.9% NaCl - nope... pure BS for people who have no clue.
Here is an example of $550 ambulance bill - short event, easy to have an idea:
Run to pick up a patient, 2 EMTs, run to the hospital.
While in transit:
-EKG (electrodes, printout, radio transmision to the ER attending)
-I.V. set up
-blood drawn for the complete MI (heart attack) workout
-oxygen
-nitrates for chest pain
