CZ-82
Hello!
Does anybody have a CZ-82, know anything good or has had any experience with it? As far as I know it' a pretty reliable pistol (read different, not rus forums), holds 12 rounds of 9x18 mak. There are still pretty many in excellent condition for $200 on the market.
Just want to find out more info about all 9x18mak handguns.
May be collect all of them, just for the heck of it.

Got Bulgarian Makarov yesterday at the gunshow. Never issued nor fired, all serial number match, including the two magazines. Came in original box. By the number ten inside two circles can tell that it was produced in 1962 (per Makarov.com).
There was another, used, but in Very Good Condition. Special Edition Makarov, Made by Miltex, Inc of Bulgaria. The only difference, it has squared trigger guard - looks pretty nice. Miltex made different SpecialEdition Makarovs, this one was for 9x17 (.380 ACP) caliber. I would get it if it were 9x18.
Will be looking for one with the pearl-buttons...

Russian ones in same condition come around $DC...
Хм, да, он над нами издевается!...
Где это такие цены, интересно?
It was hard time for me to make a purchase decision at the gunshow, but, you know, sometimes you think that it's better to have a tit in a hand than (forgot what's then)... Anyway, there was none locally I could obtain, having bought online a cat in a bag (have bad experiences), so... If I planned to get a load of weapons, I'd probably waited and kept looking, but... Hey, I don't know, maybe I'll get a load of weapons

Delivered today. Just picked it up from the dealer on my lunch time.
From the first look, I'd swear it was never fired before. Bore looks like just of the lathe. It looks new, all greasy. It has a little chip though, like 1.5 sq.mm on the slide edge on the left side (damn). Looks like it's because of being in the holster together with cleaning rod and another magazine. Other than that - like from the factory.
The gun is very compact, feels like there is a lot inside in the size of a Makarov. I tryied to field strip it right at the dealer, but could not pull the trigger guard all of way (know that you have to pull down and front, or something). Did not have time to mess with it over there. Looks like it is painted, not blued.
Here is some charachteristics from just first handling.
1. It is 9x18 Makarov caliber.
2. It's double action.
3. You cannot put on safety when not cocked (like on a 1911, but 1911 is single action - don't know if it's good ar not yet).
4. Cock and lock (1911 feature)
5. Magazine release button is very comfortable for a right thumb.
6. Safety on both sides.
7. 12 round magazine (two magazines with gun, plus holster and string).
8. Feels very nice in my hand, better than Makarov (Gotta put wedding ring on left hand though)
9. White dots on rear side and vertical line on the front (it felt like it turned to grease to me when I tried to clean with my fingernail, because I just scratched it off the groove, oh-oh...)
I think it's a lot for $CC bucks.
Have to reschedule range time from Friday to Saturday. Will put an info on how performs and shoots. Read and heard different topics about it, will check myself on Saturday.

Sorry for English again. Just took my lunch break and... To the range.
Tested the CZ-82. OK, shot both today, just for the camparison sake.
As I already mentioned, the grip is very comfortable on the Cheezette (as what we called CZ pistols back home back then). The aim is very steady, I'm not the hell of a shooter, but the difference is about 2 to 3 inches in comparison with Makarov at 12 yards. The trigger is very light, pistol does not get moved when pulling the trigger neither up nor down. It shoots where you aim.
The sights (for which I bought some signt paint in white and orange - has not come in yet) are very visible and help out a lot. From 12 yards, all 12 rounds into a circle of 3 inches in diameter. Friend of mine joked, looking at the target after I shot, that I can get a job now
The only reason I bought the Cheezette was and still is to save my nice Makarov. Shooting 150-200 round per week will not do any good to a piece of art which I intend to carry when get a permit. I am gonna use CZ mostly for practice
I will post some pics when get home. The Cheezette from where I got it from (see above) is new, well was (now it used) with the condition I wrote above as well. Very good pistol for the money and shoots well. After this is up to the shooter.
Most people after experiencing with CZ give up Makarovs, but I think I'm a patriot of the era.
I actually want to also buy a Hungarian FEG PA-63 and Poland Radom P-64. Wonna get Russian made Makarov, but it's expensive and will never get cheaper. And whoever does not need a Stechkin, let me know.
All in 9x18 Mak caliber.
