Finally сбылась мечта идиота - we are going to Vegas!!!
Guys, could you advise on Vegas hotels: we are looking for something really close to the strip (hotels on the strip are pretty expensive on the weekend - we need two rooms). I read privet’s history and some people were talking about street right next to the strip - any personal experiences, good/bad?

зачем всем надобно обязательно на стрип? поселитесь в даунтауне ($25/сутки почти везде). а туда гулять идите если очень хочется

Там можно и заказать гостиницу заранее, если есть кредитная карточка.
Услугами этой компании мы пользовались. Пока что остались довольны их сервисом и customer service.

Мы останавливались в Luxor (http://www.luxor.com). Там мне очень понравилось. Ещё понравились Tropicana, MGM Grand, Monte Carlo, Bellagio (я думаю это самый лучший), Venetian, Alladin и Treasure Island.
Плохое впечатление получили от Mandalay Bay (новая гостинница, но такое ощущение, что большой chinese buffet
, New York - New York, Golden Nugget, Stardust, Flamingo, Paris (старые и провоняные сигаретным дымом).
На самом стрипе не обязательно жить. Такси и автобусы постоянно мотаются. Вы все равно будете либо сидеть в рулетку играть, либо на show в разных гостинницах.
Если остановитесь в Luxor - на Blue Man Group не ходите - лажа.
