Company is potentially targeting to file S-1 in 6 to 9 months
Will assist on SEC reporting, int'l accounting, consolidation, drafting technical accounting memo, S-1, SAS70, SOX and M&A
Manages 3 Staff: Sr. Accountant, A/P, P/R supervisor
Reports to Assistant Controller (both Controller and Assistant Controller are from the big 4)
Company is well managed...founders and senior management are from Netscreen which was subsequently sold to Juniper Networks.
Oracle and Big 4 CPA experience are a plus.
Open to straight from public or combo of public accounting and private industry


Accounting Manager - Santa Clara, California
Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the successful Accounting Manager candidate will be a key participant in managing our current transaction volume and ongoing projects to develop scalable financial and operating processes to support Infoblox’s rapid growth and increasingly complex business requirements. This role is responsible for managing the monthly close process with direct oversight over the GL, Payroll, Accounts Payable, indirect procurement, and international accounting functions and will report to the Assistant Controller.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the monthly GL close, consolidation and preparation financial statements
Ensure the preparation of detailed reconciliations supporting monthly close and financial reports
Directly oversee Cash Management, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Expense reimbursement and indirect procurement processes
Assist in transaction processing (payroll, AP, expense reimbursement, international treasury etc) when and if necessary
Have in depth knowledge of both complex and simple US GAAP and SEC accounting concepts and reporting requirements including but not limited to general GL management, consolidation and effects of foreign exchange, revenue recognition, cost accounting, stock compensation and mergers and acquisition accounting
Work directly with our outsourced international accounting service providers to oversee routine financial accounting activities, statutory reporting and tax compliance
Interact with various organizations within the Company at various levels from staff to EVP
Assess accounting policies and procedures and offer and implement changes that are both consistent with the Company’s business model and are US GAAP compliant
Remain current with and perform research of authoritative literature for proper treatment of transactions including accounting for consolidation and fx effects, income taxes, long-lived assets, mfg costs and inventory valuation, M&A, stock compensation, and revenue recognition
Liaison with external auditors and preparation of audit support and documentation
Interact with external tax advisors to address the Company’s tax needs including researching tax-related issues
Must have working familiarity with SEC rules and regulations
Assist with preparation of SEC disclosure information and support
Assist with development, implementation, documentation and testing of proper processes and controls to ensure the Company is compliant with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements
Assist with continuous assessment and adaptation of finance organization processes, systems, and policies to scale with the company’s growth and business model changes
Staff recruitment and development

Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) REQUIRED
Three to five years of public accounting experience required—Big Four experience preferred
Experience with large ERP system a strong plus (preferably Oracle)
Industry experience preferred and business acumen to understand action priorities and alternatives, especially in a manufacturing-based company
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Team-oriented collaborative work style
