Comments: I emailed 2 gift certificates to my niece and nephew in Moscow,
Russia.
One for 100 dollars purchased 5/4/07
Another for 50 dollars purchased 5/30/07.
They are not able to play anything on the IPod or on the computer because
of country protection. I am not happy about it. I went all out to buy my
niece the new Ipod spending about 700 dollars on it plus accessories and the
gift cards, and now it does not play.
My sister in law's account is mail2@mail.ru
You have to either refund me $150.00 or turn on their account and Ipod
associated with it to play the movies.
My niece is sick with a very serious disease and our family does not need
additional grief with Ipods not playing American movies in Russia.

Dear First_Name,
My name is Ryan, and I understand you purchased gift certificates and
iPods for your niece and nephew in Russia. You found out that they could not
be used in russia because they had been purchased in the US. Another issue
you may not have realized is that Russia is not supported by iTunes in any
way. There are no iTunes Gift Certificates usable in Russia. Your request
for a refund for the two gift certificates was carefully considered;
however, according to the iTunes Store Terms of Sale, all purchases made on
the iTunes Store are ineligible for refund. This policy matches Apple's
refund policies and provides protection for copyrighted materials. The major
issue is that you have already redeemed both iTunes Gift Certificates to
your personal iTunes Account. The funds have already made the transfer, and
cannot be refunded.
You can review the iTunes Store Terms of Sale for more information:
http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/sales.html
As for the iPods, you will need to contact the place of purchase.,
If they were purchased online at the Apple Store, you will need to contact
Apple Store Customer Support. They can be contacted at 800-676-2775. Help is
available Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. central time,
and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. central time.
I apologize for the inconvenience, and I thank you for your patience.
Sincerely,
Ryan

Ryan and Apple, you are completely out of line.
They can't play anything, they can't use it. Nothing has been downloaded.
Refund the money now!!!!!
If not, I will take it to Better Business Bureau or Consumer Affairs or FTC.
You are stealing people's money without providing any SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear First_Name,
I apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced.
I understand you've threatened legal action. While I am not Apple's legal representative and thus cannot address your claim, I would like very much to help you resolve the issues that are causing you concern.
I have reviewed the iTunes Store account "mail2@mail.ru" and find both iTunes Store Gift Cards have been redeemed to this account and partially used as this is an US account. There have been three items purchased and downloaded on the account.
Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Tracy
