possible scan on Autotrader, beware

Муж отыскал 2002 Pontiac TransAm on Autotrader. Машина в таком состоянии должна предлагаться за примерно $30,000. Мужик предлагал за $8,900. Уже подозрительно (no accidents). Когда получили от него email (смотрите ниже), стало ясно - scam.

Особенно настораживает фраза: "This is a US model with US specs (LHD) and it is still registered in US and you will have no problem registering into your name." Опять же, если довольно новая машина - американская и продается в Штатах, то ее обычно не сопровождают уверениями в том, что проблем с регистрацией не будет. И причем здесь Craigslist? Так что, будьте осторожны.

Поскольку seller claims to be in NC, муж предложил подьехать в эти выходные на 10 минут, посмотреть на машину. Мое предсказание - мы от него больше не услышим.

М-да, накрутил товарищ немало. Ни Craigslist ни BidPay(www.BidPay.com) ничем похожим на описанное мужиком не занимаются. BidPay - это контора, переводящая деньги покупателя в WU Money Order и посылающая его продавцу. Трик в том, что все привязано к eBay. Так что, по-моему, чудак просто хочет выудить у Вас скромную сумму в 4К.

скорее всего это просто поле в темплайте куда подставляются слова из списка типа

итд

а еще сильно не хватает постскриптума о том, что он сам неместный (принц из Нигерии) и едет к родителям за деньгами (120 миллионов), у него отрезало поездом все карманы и если Вы одолжите ему 200 баксов на билет в Бобруйск, то по возвращении он обязательно подарит вам 48 верблюдов (и одного ишака, но уже в следующей жизни)

Я на днях читал на S2000'шном форуме про такой же в точности скам. Только там явно говорилось, что машина якобы находится за границей ( в UK ) и типа нужен депозит в $4000 в SquareTrade, чтобы ее ship обратно в Штаты. В таком свете уверения, что машина " it is still registered in US", имеют смысл.

Кстати, Pontiac в 2002 году Trans Am не выпускал, только Grand Am, и blue book price на 2002 Grand Am ~$10k.
