I play for 60% return hoping to earn 100%.ie wrote:процент от инвестмента, можно огласить?venumpro wrote:30K/yearThink_Different wrote:what's "decent money"?
Sold off stocks, in the low end of their range, like MCD, TWTR or LULU, I always sell puts, by default.ie wrote:почему не strangle? щас вижу что сработало не плохо.venumpro wrote:Earnings trade:

ME требует 10К на счету для торговли сложными опционами. Но и на спекуляции стоками можно что-то сделать. Например, выбрать opposite way correlated stocks, ETFs with the high volatility.venumpro wrote:I personally think that the best amount to start is $10,000. This is enough to mix naked and defined risk trades.
Once you learn the basics and practice with 10K account, 50,000 is more than enough to make decent money.

It is pretty easy to calculate target return based on the existing positions. All you need - two data points: (i) account size, and (ii) average portfolio theta number.ie wrote:60% слишком мало?Think_Different wrote:

Let's say I have $10,000 account and my average theta number +80. Based on these numbers I can assume that the account holder is playing for 72% return. It's simple math equation .... ($80(theta) * 30(days/month) * 12(month/year)/4 (25%) ) / $10,000 (account size) = 72 (projected return)
i will need to talk to myself for the next 20min...venumpro wrote:This is how much theta you can realistically monetize. You'll have a lot of winners and scratched, but you'll also have NFLX kind of issues. It averages out to 25% theta retention rate.
