Т.е. формально, чтобы не потерять гринкарту, вы дожны жить (иметь основное место жительства) в Америке. Идея про появление каждые полгода о котором все говорят возникла из-за того что, по утверждениям адвокатов и разных вебсайтов, если вы отсутствовали в Амеркие мене полугода то это пограничник должен доказать что вы "покинули постоянное проживание в Америке", буде он что-то заподозрит. А если вы отсутствовали более полугода то бремя доказательства что вы все еше физичесаки резидент Америки лежит на вас (не докажите этого - могут и не впустить).
