Based on the final tally, 66,755 members voted on this proposition! This is an amazing turnout, and we want to thank everyone who voted regardless of whether it was for or against the conversion. We are proud that so many of you made your voice heard.
The new coverage from ASI [b:ecbb0d1dc7]will be effective December 1, 2002[/b:ecbb0d1dc7], at which time all Patelco members will receive up to $250,000 of insurance coverage per account. There is no limit to the number of Patelco accounts you can have.
This conversion is being made with your support and in your best interests. We understand that some of you may still prefer to have federal coverage. [b:ecbb0d1dc7]If you wish to withdraw your deposits from any of your savings accounts, including certificates, we will waive any early withdrawal penalties[/b:ecbb0d1dc7]. You may withdraw your deposits without penalty through [b:ecbb0d1dc7]December 31, 2002[/b:ecbb0d1dc7].
