How Do You Sign Up for a Family Plan Through Amazon.com?
Family plans are different from individual plans in that everyone on the plan gets to share a pool of minutes instead of being limited to the minutes that come with each individual plan. Most carriers allow up to five lines of service on one family plan. Some family plans even offer unlimited calling between everyone on the plan. If you're looking to save money by pooling minutes for your family or small business, family plans might be just the ticket.
Unfortunately, at this time, we are unable to offer family plans on Amazon.com. But never fear, you can still take advantage of our great deals by buying phones and individual service plans from Amazon.com and then switching to a family plan through your wireless carrier once you receive your order. Click on any of the links above, or scroll farther down this page, to find detailed instructions for purchasing a family plan with each of the wireless carriers featured on Amazon.com.
There are three important things to keep in mind before you begin.
You will still qualify for Amazon.com rebates and carrier rebates as long as you meet all of the requirements of the rebate(s). Please refer to the detailed terms and conditions of each rebate before you complete your purchase. Carrier rebates often include rate-plan restrictions that may affect your eligibility to redeem them if you switch to a family plan.
In order to consolidate two or more individual accounts to a single family plan, all of the individual accounts must be under the same name and billing information. There are three scenarios to keep in mind: A. If you purchase multiple phones on the same order from Amazon.com (limit of five phones per order), all of the phones will automatically be activated in the same name under a single account. B. If you purchase multiple phones on separate orders, make sure that you enter the same name and billing information each time that you complete the credit-check information page. (This page appears during the checkout process for T-Mobile and AT&T Wireless orders only; for Cingular, Nextel or Sprint orders, you will need to provide this information to the carrier over the phone after your receive your shipment.) C. If you already have an account with a carrier and are ordering additional phones from Amazon.com, make sure that you order your phones in the same ZIP Code as your current account, and that you enter the same name and billing information as your current account when you get to the credit-check information page. (This page appears during the checkout process for T-Mobile and AT&T Wireless orders only; for Cingular, Nextel or Sprint orders, you will need to provide this information to the carrier over the phone after your receive your shipment.)
Carrier policies may change from time to time. We recommend that you check the carrier's Web site, visit one of their stores, or call them directly to get the most up-to-date information regarding eligibility for family plans, availability, prices, rebates, and other details.
