ИМХО, это объяснение и пошло из фильма, а не наоборот. Хотя я не знаю точно. Но если так - "Бар "Гадкий койот"" (кажется, так назывался русский перевод), вполне адекватен.

Нет-нет, выражение coyote ugly существет очень давно, по крайней мере лет 50, а бар в кино именно позтому так и назван. " Бар" Гадкий койот"- хорошее название!
