I am not positioned for crash. If it happens, I will be either unchanged or up/down 5%. The profits from short delta will be offset by losses from short premium.

Crashes are bad for business. Last time we crashed, bid/ask differential in SPY options (the most liquid stock in the world) was 1 dollar.

I'd prefer rally, sideways or drifting lower markets with volatility around 20.

у меня так остается short delta, i.e. my assumption about the euro has not changed. All I am hoping to happen is for euro to go by about point lower (to get to my short strike). I am making money both on selling puts and selling euros. It is like covered calls but backwards . Anyway if I am wrong at least I will. make money on puts (well, I will keep rolling futures and selling puts going forward if I am wrong).

Closed some more straight oil at 1.15 profit on each. Now slightly long oil, oil went down by about 10% this week, so it was fine to take shorts off and get long (via some short puts); got long cacao @ avg 1880, got long gold @ avg 1209.5 and also sold short 1225/1235 spreads; got long nat gas @ 2.856. And of course shorted S&P and Nasdaq way too early with now avg 2425 and 564; short puts help.

Bot covered NUGT, sold July EWZ 34 straddle for 1.53, sold July IC in WYNN - 122/128/138/144 for 1.70; closed AMZN IC, closed short call spread in COST.

A кто говорит про лучше/хуже? Some future you scalp, in some futures you take a position. Oil futures for instance have one of the best options trading - they are very liquid, premium is good, and buying power is low (well, originally, span margining will take place eventually, just keep it in mind). Я не очень люблю pairs trades, не мое, не очень люблю futures spreads (i.e. future sold this month and future bought next month), даже если они забирают меньше buying power.

Как я вижу, каждый develops his/her own trading style. Nothing is wrong with it as long as you make money.

I think you can make significantly more money trading futures. But you have to be really good in picking right direction.

I suck at picking direction and if I traded futures I would be out of business long time ago. Options, on the other hand, allow you to make money without being directionally right. I think this is the only difference.

I was short overall market and Nasdaq specifically all year. It is up 15% YTD. Despite being directionally wrong, my portfolio is up more than that. I guess options fit me much better than futures.

If you consistently make $$$$ with futures, stick with it. Don't even look at options

В теории да. На практике у меня почему-то подавляющее большинство option trades are loosers.

If you consistently make $$$$ with futures, stick with it. Don't even look at options

Bought July 285/280/270 broken wing butterflies @ .50 credit. Cheap trade with exceptionally high probability of success. Did it in size

Its hard to get filled in TSLA today. Did more of same @ .44 credit

Closed all butterflies @ .10 Turned out to be good trade

Closed Costco short calls, X IC, put spread in AMZN. All worthless. Closed NVDA bwb and short put spread, also worthless,
Open - bought cotton, more cacao, and sugar. Also some ANF stock. Did not add and did not close any ES and NQ.

Still long oil, long gold, and short euro. Neutral on bonds.

I cannot find auto stock with liquid options market. If I did, I would have sold puts or jade lizards. Another alternative would strangled with puts closer to price than calls
