Может, кто-нибудь в курсе где найти курдюк в шатате Вашингтон?

Курдюк будет fat-tail или fatty tail. Это я случайно знаю. А вот где его в WA взять, это уже извините. :pain1:

А что, на вашем базаре в Сиэтле такое не продается?

Я вот крепко задумалась, курдючные ли у вас вообще овцы? Тут ни один баран этого самого курдюка не имеет (или я смотрела плохо?

). По крайней мере, вопросы с пристрастием у пастухов ничего не дали...

Fat-tailed Sheep
These sheep are so named because they can store large amounts of fat in the tail and the region of the rump. They are kept primarily for their milk-producing ability, which is higher than that of other types; their wool, however, is coarse and long and is used primarily for making carpets. Fat-tailed sheep are found mainly in the extremely arid regions of Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, and they represent about 25 percent of the world sheep population. The major breeds are the Awassi, Bakhtiari, Karakul, and Karamon. The pelts of the newborn Karakul lambs are used for the manufacture of the so-called Persian fur coats.

Боюсь, что в США (а не только в Вашингтоне) найти курдюк будет проблематично, если не невозможно. В своё время я с приятелем из Ташкента облазил всю Москву и не нашёл.

Ну, и кто нить купил? Очень очень хочеться шашлычка и пловчика с курдючком, а мужа заказывать не хочет. Расскажите, плизззз, что оно есть понастоящиму.

Подход предложенный выше не совсем верен. Купить любой мясной продукт можно в местной мясной лавке. Это должно быть не <chain Grocery Store>, а <something like Meat market>. Хотя <chain stores> могут сделать тоже самое, но случается это реже.
Они могут не иметь то, что вы ищите, но заказать могут все что угодно, если дадите им знать за несколько дней.
Я вчера, например, заказал молочного поросенка на следующую пятницу.
