Подскажите как быть?

Работа в финансовой сфере и работа бухгалтером разные веши. То что вам сказали не совсем правильно. Как учиться и находить работу очень зависит от каждой конкретной ситуации: возрст, документы, способности (оценки), предыдушее образование, ну и финансовые возможности.

Вам сначала все-таки лучше определиться, где вы хотите работать в бухгалтерии или финансах, и в зависимости от етого, решать, куда итдти работать.

Никаким кассиром нигде работать не надо. Нужно сдавать экзамены, поступать в хороший университиет на хорошую программу по аccounting, не работать а брать как можно больше классов, кончать на отлично - и все, работа обеспечена. Имхо - не следует размениваться по пустякам, работая кассиром, и портить себе резюме учась в Community College. :umnik1:

Моя знакомая начинала как data-entry clerk (таких позитсии много и образование не нужно) в частнои фирмочке из 5-ти человек. Потом она постепенно перебралась в младшие бухалтеры в етои же компании, а потом ушла в нормалнyu компанию. Да, бухатлерского образования (ни местного, ни советского) у нее нет.

а почему портить? поясните пожалуйста, я думала,можно взять классы в community а потом продолжить в 4 year university? так уйдет меньше денег

тогда в community college берите только общеобразовательные классы, а accounting i major classes возьмите в University. Многие так делают. Диплом получается из УНивера. Обязательно узнайте сначала, какие из классов вам зачтут в Универе, чтобы не брать их потом снова. Узнайте, какие классы и сколько часов нужно для диплома из УНивера.

Doesn't look good on your resume, especially for prestigious employers. Raises questions and doubts. And sometimes a doubt is all it takes to loose a job to someone, whose resume is more fool-proof. You are saving money in the short term but compromising your future prospects.

I understand where you are coming from. You'd like to believe that if you work hard and get good grades, it won't matter where you come from. But in many cases, it does. Seeing a community college on your resume could indicate one of two things to your potential employer - problems with economic (and therefore social) background, or academic problems. спасибо за ответ, я именно так и хотела сделать, только не знала , что общеобразоватэные предметы Толко. дело в том что community college имеет соглашение с универом о трансфере студентов, как тогда в таком случае, можно ли полностью программу community брать?

I am not going to argue with the above statement at some cases it can be very true, particularly if an interviewer is very narrow minded.

Here is my personal example. I've transferred from a community college to UCLA and got job in Deloitte (one of the Big 4 Accounting Firm) in the tax department. The company is very pleased with my performance, so I am going to USC (University of Southern California) to get a Masters degree in Business Taxation; all educational expenses will be paid by the employer. Good enough for me! Thanks to the community college! Another example is my accounting professor. She transferred from a community college to Cal Poly and received a B.S. in aerospace engineering, worked for NASA, got MBA from UCLA, Master in Business Taxation from USC, worked for PWC. Well, maybe these examples are just exceptions, or LUCK.
