Akayev's fall will be seen throughout Central Asia as a major triumph for the United States which supports the spread of democracy around the world, and which already has a military base in the country at Manas.It will also boost the Central Asian influence of Ukraine's new democratically elected President Viktor Yushchenko who visited neighboring Uzbekistan earlier this week.Ukraine has already offered its support to the revolutionary forces seeking to organize themselves in Kyrgyzstan.
