Значит так... Миларда, мы обе неправы были...в петсмарте цена на обработку кошака длинношерстного - от $35 до $45. Включено: мытье с шампунькой, когти (маникюр и педикюр 
), и тримминг волос... ну, если прикинуть, что ваш кот в ужасающем состоянии, плюс $5 на лапу...а также, плюс $10 за драку, которую он там закатит... Получаем $60...

Чего-то больно дешево. Сеичас посмотрела пару саитов на тему бритье наголо под <lion cut> или <comb out / dematting>. Кажется, ~$60 ето если <dematting> состоит в <clipping off the mats>, например как здесь :
<Groom prices for cats are a flat fee of $60.00. The only exception to this is for cats that have such poorly neglected coats as to require clipping off prior to bathing in which case there will be a an additional $15.00 fee added to the base price. Если же в ручную делать <comb out>, то ето долго и нудно, тсена идет вверх.
