Health Insurance for American PR holder

Hi Folks,

I am asking for your help . Could you please advise me?

An US green card holder woman who is 77 yrs. old wants to visit to me in Canada, but she does not have health insurance which could cover her health insurance in Canada.

Is there any solution? I don't want her to stay with me without having a health insurance which could be effective in Canada.

Please advise.

You may always suggest buying tourist health insurance, it usually covers emergency services plus transport to home where primary insurance (medicare? ) can kick in.

She is 76 years old and in the States 2 years only.
So, Obama care or medicare did not help.

For 76 yr old lady, no one wanted to insure in a reasonable and affordable price.

Any options please?
