Стражи порядка отреагировали на вызов об дорожно-транспортном происшествии около 2 часов ночи по местному времени. Когда полицейские приехали на место инцидента, то увидели, что в аварию попали два или три автомобиля, ехавшие на большой скорости. После столкновения транспортных средств неизвестный открыл огонь по одному из автомобилей, попав в 8-летнюю Де’Мари Адкинс (De`Maree Adkins), которая ехала со своей матерью. Девочка была доставлена в ближайшую больницу, где скончалась от полученных травм. По данным Департамента полиции Хьюстона, мать не пострадала. Стражи порядка расследуют инцидент как убийство.

В субботу, 25 марта, стало известно о стрельбе в отеле Bellagio в Лас-Вегасе. По словам очевидцев, услышав звуки выстрелов, туристы начали в панике выбегать из здания гостиницы.

По предварительным данным, стрельба была связана с попыткой вооруженного налета на магазин часов Rolex, расположенный внутри гостиничного комплекса, пишет газета Mirror.

Отметим, стрельба в США не редкость. К примеру, в минувшую пятницу неизвестные устроили пальбу в американском городе Сент-Луис (штат Миссури). В результате 15-летний подросток погиб на месте, и еще шесть человек, в том числе 8-летний мальчик, получили ранения.
