engine works well with data of different scales and shapes. Work would require
incorporating the best and latest in distributed systems; scale out systems,

Designing and building data processing language, query compiler, and
execution components that integrate tightly with the existing Tableau data

Getting these components to run in massive scaled-out server environments.

Create innovative algorithms to provide a better experience with live
queries against an ever more diverse set of data sources. These may include
API-based web data sources, cubes, graph data, relational and NoSQL systems
such as Hadoop.

We are looking for a creative engineer with expertise in video streaming and encoding -- a hands-on authority who can help craft these new solutions. This group is nimble and inquisitive: building on our strengths, but breaking new ground. We run like a startup, but have the support and resources of a tech giant.
What you’ll be doing:
As part of our team you will be working on core video compression technologies that enable high speed cloud transcoding, ultra-low latency game streaming (GeForce NOW), live game broadcasting, and many other cutting edge technologies that are transforming our industry.
You will get the opportunity to learn about our graphics processing units and video hardware accelerators, and how to harness their full performance.
You are expected to collaborate with multiple teams in our company, as well as our partners and customers.
What we need to see:
You are highly motivated and passionate about digital video and system software development.
You possess expert knowledge of video compression concepts and standards, including H.264 and HEVC
You are proficient in C/C++ with strong software development, optimization, and debugging skills.

You have a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (Masters degree or higher preferred).
You have 8+ years of relevant software development or research experience. Extraordinary engineers with less experience may be considered.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Having experience with ffmpeg, x264, and x265 is a strong plus.
You are familiar with video processing algorithms and color spaces.
Knowledge of Microsoft MFT, DirectShow, DirectX, and DXVA is very helpful, too.
Experience with CUDA is also beneficial.
You have experience with Windows or Linux driver development.
