Записать здесь, а смотреть в России
Я собираюсь пару фильмов записать с TV и послать дочери в Россию. Сможет ли она посмотреть их, или же их надо в какую-то другую систему перезаписывать? Подскажите,плиз, кто знает...

Vse zavisit ot video magnitafona (kakie sistemi v nem predusmotreni), na kotorom ona budet ih smotret.

All modern VCRs sold in Europe ( including Russia and exUSSR) have several NTSC playback modes, namely they are :
1) NTSC 3.58
2) NTSC 4.43
3) NTSC on PAL TV
Mode 1:
The VCR outputs pure North-American TV standard signal - NTSC picture and the audio (sound) is modulated at 3.58 MHz - this means that your TV in Russia must be able to show NTSC picture signal and accept audio at 3.58 MHz
Mode 2:
The same as mode 1 except that audio ( sound) comes at 4.43 MHz instead of 3.58 MHz
Mode 3:
The VCR outputs the NTSC signal as PAL which is accepted by any TV sold in exUSSR in last 5 -7 years. The trick is that many VCRs do not do this well.
So for VCR with modes 1& 2 you need a TV that supports NTSC, for VCR with mode 3 you may try just any plain TV.
VCR must be connected through Video-Audio input, not through regular RF input ( ne cherez antennu) since most of TVs do not have NTSC - capable tuner and can accept NTSC signal only from Video-Audio inputs.
It is HIGHLY suggested that you use 4-head VCR ( for both recording and playback in Russia) for better results.
Do not record NTSC in any extended mode (such as LP, EP) since it complicates the playback ( this is why it is recommended to have 4-head VCR). Use regular SP for recording speed instead.
I have (had ?) SONY TV with NTSC 3.58 & 4.43 + SONY SLV 436 4 head VCR in Russia and have never had any troubles with playing NTSC records. We had another SONY SLV 736 that we used to convert NTSC records in PAL records.
Good luck ! HTH
